Good God Harriet!

Today is the 10th Anniversary of my mothers death.
There isn't a day in those ten years that I haven't missed her.

As my family often tells me, my mother will never be dead as long as I'm alive......although I think The Madonna is more like my mother than me. Hmmmph.... I would never carry extra shoes in a bag just in case or go to the beauty shop weekly like someone I know!!

*When my father got mad at my mother for something crazy she did(which was often), he would shake his head and utter "Good God Harriet." My friends and family picked up on it. To this day if something is not making sense or makes us mad, we shake our heads and say "Good God Harriet." Those who didn't know my parents look at us like we are crazy.

I think your Mother would be proud to know you all are using that phrase in your everyday life as a remembrance of her.

Beautiful picture! And, absolutely beautiful way to keep your mother alive in everyday life. Like I've always believed---it's never the grand things that stay with us in such intimate ways--it's the ordinary everyday things that do.
(Perhaps that's why I haven't done many grand things....).
Being a motherless daughter is one of life's heartbreaks. Thankfully, they gave us what we need to go on in a world without them in it!
God Bless Harriet and her little girl!
love ya,
Judi

Let's be clear.....
-The size ZERO was a Chico's SIZE ZERO. Chico's sizes are ZERO, 0.5, 1, 1.5....all the way up to 3. So, I could not fit in your communion dress....I am not that kind of ZERO!
-No, we were not at the Living Room. Angela, Kate and I were at the bar at the Rivers Casino. Didn't win a dime but we had a fun, fun time. Our kind of place--you can drink and smoke 24/7. The only thing is they don't come to run the sweeper to say it's time to go.....
-So, tell me, what are the 2 comments you deleted????
