**I started this post on MLK Day and forgot about it. I'm going to post it anyway.
So yeah, I have a dream.
I dream that every employer in America quits offering health care to their employees. Sorry folks, but yes I do.
You want to know why? Because when that happens, and only when that happens, this health care mess will be fixed in about forty five minutes.
Those of you who get health insurance from your workplace, you really, really have no idea what a mess this shit is. And I mean that.
Three days after the election in Massachusetts, I received a letter from my shitty health insurer telling me they were raising my rates by $100 a month. It's almost like they were waiting for the trump card.
To add insult to injury, the following was the last line of the letter.
"Hopefully, federal health care reforms will soon make health insurance more affordable to all."
Uh, yeah, right.
Slimy sonsofbitches.

WOW..CERTAINLY AGREE THAT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE A BETTER OPTION ON A HEALTH CARE ..NOW WHERE I DISAGREE WITH YOU IS WHERE YOU FEEL THAT THE AMERICANS THAT DO HAVE HEALTH CARE COVERAGE THROUGH THEIR EMPLOYERS SHOULD NOT HAVE THIS..YOU CERTAINLY DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE HEALTH CARE COVERAGE WHEN YOU WERE A FILE CLERK WITH THE FBI OR WHEN YOU HAD COVERAGE AT PNC.THAT WORKED FOR YOU..BUT NOW THAT YOUR COVERAGE IS NOT THAT GREAT YOU FEEL NO ONE SHOULD HAVE IT..WHAT YOU FAIL TO REALIZE IS THAT MOST PEOPLE WHO HAVE COVERAGE HAVE NEGOCIATED THESE PLANS THROUGH THE PLACES THAT THEY WORK..MOST HAVE TAKEN A PAY CUT OR NO INCREASE AT ALL TO KEEP UP WITH THE COST OF LIVING...THESE PEOPLE WHO HAVE THEIR COVERAGE THROUGH THEIR EMPLOYERS HAVE WORKED THEIR ASSES OFF TO GET IT AND KEEP IT..YOU ARE MOSTLY TALKING ABOUT HOSPITAL EMPLOYEES WHO WORK WITH THE SICK OR DISABLED EVERYDAY ..THE GOVERNMENT WORKERS WHO SAVE LIVES EVERYDAY THROUGH CIVIL SERVICE POSITIONS SUCH AS FIREMEN AND POLICE ..THE EVERY DAY AMERICAN WHO HAS TO DRIVE TENS OF MILES TO GET TO WORK OR TAKE A BUS AND NOT WALK DOWN THE STREET TO THEIR PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT..IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE COVERAGE THAT IS OFFERED AT YOUR PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT ..LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE THAT OFFERS BETTER BENEFITS..BUT YOU CHOOSE NOT TO ..YOU CHOOSE TO STAY AT THE PLACE YOU ARE AT AND BLAME YOUR EMPLOYER FOR NOT OFFERING A BETTER PLAN..EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN DECISIONS AND CERTAINLY IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE WORK YOU ARE DOING AND THE BENEFITS YOU ARE OFFERED..LOOK FOR ANOTHER JOB..I BELIEVE THAT ANY AMERICAN RIGHT NOW THAT HAS A JOB AND SOME OPTION ON HEALTH CARE SHOULD CONSIDER THEMSELF LUCKY...
Well that solves it then. Any one who walks to work isn't worthy of affordable health insurance.

I've got it. I found an answer to my insurance woe's. I'll find a married man. Have an affair. Get pregnant. Have a baby. Get on welfare.
THEN I'll get insurace for me and my baby.
Hell, they'll even give me food stamps.
After that, I'll sit back and judge everyone I know and tell them they don't deserve one dollar without earning it.

Every child in our country has the right to an education, and in fact has to go to school; and public schools are provided and held to certain standards. Well, why doesn't every person in our country have the right to healthcare? Why isn't everyone provided access to the healthcare they need, either privately or by the government held to certain standards? I just don't get it.
Health should not be connected to having a job. Everyone deserves the right to care, no matter what. And if we don't fix this problem, you can rest assured that this country is never going to recover from its current problems.
We are the richest country in the world. We should be ashamed of ourselves.

Yes, I know all too well health insurance costs are based on a persons pre existing conditions and general health.
As for not wanting others to read your opinion, your reading them aren't you?? If you are signed in as a follower, I do not need to moderate comments. Some of yours came right through, others did not without me moderating.
I had a problem with a stalker on this blog and that's why I changed it..... two years ago. That's why I can tell who's on, for how long and where they are commenting from, how long they are on, their isp address, exactly what time they left comment and from what computer, etc.
I have never changed one word of your comments. If I was so worried about people reading your comments, I would have just not published them.
In closing, anyone with one ounce of sense would know where I was comming from in my origional post. That I don't actually MEAN EVERY SINGLE person should have to buy their own insurance.
