The townships and city are crying that there is going to be a shortage of salt pretty soon if it continues to snow.

When I lived in Los Angeles the newscasters used to pull a similar thing all the time. They'd have these "StormWatch" mini-casts between shows, which basically entailed their shocking announcement that "Water is falling from the sky!!!"
Duh.
Every single day for a week now I have given @Verz crap for exactly that on twitter. Funny thing, he agrees with us. It's not the weather man causing the panic this time . . . it's his boss.
Ugh....
But, it was a town my Uncle loved nonetheless....
My father said "why in the hell did it have to be so cold and snow on the day we were putting my brother in the ground?" and then he thought about it and said "because he always said it would be a cold day in hell when they put in that plot on the hill we bought because the price was right!"
